Make-A-Wish!
Nationally, Chi Omega supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a philanthropy that all Chi Omega chapters share.
Founded in 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience through hope, strength, and joy. Make-A-Wish believes that wishes make life better for kids with life-threatening illnesses. This simple but powerful belief inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish and drives everything they do. We have absolutely loved getting to work with this incredible foundation to be able to offer these kids the chance to make lasting memories with their families and forget about their illnesses even for just a moment. We fundraise because no matter the circumstances, every child deserves a childhood. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope.
Nationally, Chi Omega has donated over $35 million and volunteered more than 1.4 million hours since our partnership was established in 2002. So far, our chapter has donated over $492,211 to the Make a Wish Foundation! We have been able to successfully fundraise to grant wishes for Make-A-Wish Alabama through philanthropy events such as Crawfish with Chi O! We are humbled by the impact that Make-A-Wish has on so many families and feel blessed to serve and be a part of this wonderful organization!

“Chi Omega has the amazing honor of supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation! Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Each year as a chapter, we host two main philanthropy events, with our biggest event being Crawfish with Chi O! We also partner with local businesses across the Auburn-Opelika area to host benefits that raise money for Make-A-Wish. As a chapter, we have been so fortunate to celebrate children’s wishes coming true right in our chapter room! We cannot wait to continue to support and fundraise for such an amazing philanthropy that makes so many wishes come true!”
